At Truly Dental we can restore your teeth to the whiter, brighter, fresher smile you've always wanted! We offer a number of Teeth Whitening options to suit all needs and budgets.
What is Teeth Whitening?
Teeth Whitening is an effective way of lightening the natural colour of your teeth without removing or damaging any of the tooth’s surface. It is completely safe with no lasting side effects. It’s worth bearing in mind that the exact colour-change can never be accurately guaranteed, but everyone's smile lightens at least a little (usually a lot!), so what is there to lose!
How safe is the treatment and is there anything else I should know?
Teeth Whitening is extremely safe. We follow recognised Teeth Whitening procedures and guidelines that have been proven to be safe and do not harm the teeth or enamel. The gums do need protection from potential irritation from the gel; this is provided by your specially designed whitening trays which only allows the gel to be in contact with your teeth and not the gums. Sometimes sensitivity is felt during and after treatment, but this is usually mild and is always temporary.
How long do the results last?
Eventually your teeth relapse back to their normal colour, over many months or even years. All you have to do to keep your smile bright and white is "top-up" your whitening, wearing gel in your trays once every 3 months or so (or as often as you want!). Keeping enough to gel at home to keep your teeth white long-term would only cost around £30/40 a year!
Silver Whitening Package
With take-home whitening, we provide you with everything you need to whiten your teeth at home, making the process very straightforward. You use licensed whitening gel in bespoke trays, for as little as 90 minutes per day, every day, for 2 weeks. We will tailor the length and intensity of the whitening treatment to suit your particular need.
Gold Whitening Package - In-house Whitening / "Laser" Whitening
With Gold Level Whitening, you get everything listed in the Silver Package, but also we kickstart the whitening process with a 90 minute appointment of instant, in-house, "laser" whitening. The procedure is carried out whilst you lie comfortably in the chair. There is usually an instant colour change, but more importantly it makes your teeth very porous, so the take-home whitening is maximally effective!
Stain Removal £40-80
This is a very straightforward but worthwhile treatment which takes 20-40 minutes. A variety of different stain removal techniques and technologies are used to remove any external staining from food/drinks/smoking from the teeth. It doesn't change the internal colour of the teeth (this is what Teeth Whitening does!) but creates a much fresher look and feel of the smile. This can be done before, during or after whitening, or as an entirely separate treatment.
