What are Dentures?

Dentures (sometimes called "a palate") will replace some or all of your upper and/or lower teeth, if your natural teeth are no longer healthy or have had to be removed. 

Whether you are seeking replacements for your existing dentures, or need your first set of dentures, we can expertly fit and create very high-quality dentures that look just like your own teeth (or sometimes even better!)

How do Dentures work?

Dentures can be ‘full’ or ‘partial’ depending on how many teeth need to be replaced. Dentures can be made with either acrylic, a flexible nylon-based material, or with a very thin chromium metal structure. All of our dentures are designed to fit comfortably: we work very hard to ensure that your dentures feel as natural as they look.

To be fitted with dentures, your dentist will take impressions of your mouth to create a bespoke fit. We also spend time carefully designing your dentures so that they are carefully colour-matched to your natural colouring, and that are the right shape and size for your face and bone structure. 

 

     

 

How long do Dentures take to fit?

How many appointments you need depends on your mouth - the health of your teeth and gums already, and whether you are seeking replacement dentures or your first set. Usually dentures of a high-quality (like ours) take up to 5 visits, with a week between each visit. We can confirm any work needed, and how many appointments you need, at your consultation. At your final appointment, your bespoke dentures will be fitted and you will be given advice on how to take care of them.
