Information for our Membership Patients

Hi there,

We are reaching out to you as one of our valued Membership patients, regarding a price increase for your Membership Plan.

We have always been determined to keep our prices as reasonable as possible for our patients. As a family-owned practice we have never had any interest in overcharging, and while many practices put their prices up annually, this is something we have always tried to avoid. We have always been proud to be a practice with one of the lowest priced Membership Plans in Sunderland, while still providing exceptional care for our patients.

However, due to massively increased costs for the practice in recent years and in the coming months – between materials, wages, and national insurance contributions increasing – this year we are having to make a significant increase to our Membership Plan charges.

As of April 2025:
Plan A will be £18.25 per month
Plan B will be £26.25 per month (Plan B includes four hygiene appointments per year, designed for patients more prone to gum disease)

A letter from Practice Plan will follow to all patients in the next two weeks to confirm which Plan you are on, and therefore what your new payment from April will be.

We are acutely aware that costs are increasing in all avenues of life – food shopping, car costs, utilities, holidays – and we do not wish to add to our patients’ financial load.

 

We would like to assure you that even with the new pricing, our Membership Plans remain around the least expensive in Sunderland. While we hope this illustrates that our Membership Plan remains excellent value for money, we also strongly believe you will not find a practice anywhere who cares about their patients more than we do.

 

For the same reasons as discussed above, our Children’s Dental Care Plan price has also increased to £9.50 per month. We understand that this is a high cost for parents, and we would therefore like to extend our Membership patients the opportunity to register their children on the NHS (any child aged 14 and under) at our sister-site on Chester Road – where they would be seen free-of-charge. This NHS capacity is obviously very limited so if you would like to make the most of this opportunity please call us as soon as possible, and we will arrange this for you.
